Known by students as Miss Kalyn, she brings warmth, empathy, and more than 15 years of experience in education, literacy, and learning. She works at the intersection of classroom practice, literacy, and creative expression, committed to strengthening instruction and cultivating the habits that help lifelong learners thrive.

Kalyn holds an MS.Ed. in Literacy Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in English Literature and Art History from Rutgers University. Her academic and professional work reflects a longstanding belief in the transformative power of language, literature, and the arts.

She has supported emerging readers in Philadelphia, Austin, and New York City as a dyslexia therapist, literacy educator, and mentor to early-career teaching professionals. She specializes in individualized, evidence-based reading intervention for students with language-based learning disabilities and is passionate about helping young people develop the skills and confidence to become capable, curious readers.

Beyond the classroom, Kalyn has experience managing high-impact business proposals for education technology software in the public sector, partnering with K–12 institutions to understand the needs of school districts, develop thoughtful solutions, and advance safe, equitable learning environments. Her work across education and technology has given her a unique perspective on the relationship between educators, institutions, and the systems designed to support them.
